Eldridge Police, North Scott Schools investigating alleged threat from student

Police and school administrators in Eldridge are investigating an anonymous report about threatening language from a student, according to a news release from the Eldridge Police Department.

Eldridge police and North Scott school officials received P3 reports on Thursday, September 12 at about 4:57 p.m., saying an incident occurred earlier in the day at North Scott Junior High School. The anonymous P3 report said a student made a verbal threat about an act of violence toward another student. School administrators and the Eldridge Police Department began investigating the report.

The Eldridge Police School Resource Officer contacted the family of the students involved in the incident. Administrators and the school resource officer contacted witnesses named in the anonymous threat and verified that the student had used language that could be perceived as a threat.
