‘Angels Night’ relatively quiet in Flint, officials say

FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) – Flint city officials reported the city had a peaceful “Angels Night” on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

“Angels Night” is the night before Halloween. The city has experienced fires and destruction in years past, but city officials said it was relatively quiet this year.

“You never really know what to expect, so we prepare for the worst and hope for the best,” said Chief Theron Wiggins of the Flint Fire Department. “Our crews responded to about six fires, which were contained quickly. Nothing got out of control. Overall, it was a great 24-hour period in fire operations.”…
