FLINT, MI — Ice covering Kearsley Lake is unsafe and the city is warning residents to stay off it until further notice.
In a notice issued on Thursday, Jan. 10, Flint officials said that while ice on the impoundment may appear solid, “it’s critical that people understand they should not venture out onto the lake.”
“Parents are encouraged to remind their children of the dangers of going onto frozen bodies of water,” the announcement says. “Adhering to this safety warning will help prevent unfortunate accidents and keep our community safe.”…
