Dayton stolen guns dropped in 2024, but other trends worry police

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The number of guns reported stolen declined from 2023 to 2024, a trend Dayton Police hopes continues, but other alarming trends have them on alert.

In 2024, the number of total stolen guns in Dayton fell about 4 percent, to 294 from the prior year’s 306.
