Winter storm cripples Greater Cincinnati leading to difficult road conditions, wrecks

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A major winter snowstorm hit Greater Cincinnati, with much of the area seeing 6-12 inches of snow or more over a 24-hour period.

Butler County’s 911 Dispatch Center was getting an influx of calls for crashes. As of Sunday night, there were 43 accidents and 11 of them had injuries. Local 12’s Paige Barnes was live in Hamilton.

A plow truck driver in Green Township told Local 12’s Tyler Madden, “All you can really do is just plow it, you know. Try to get it down to bare asphalt but the challenge with that is you’ve got 20-degree weather, trucks freezing up and going down.”…
