DAYTONA BEACH — After being told by Florida Power & Light they might not get their power restored until Thursday, Laurie Amalbert said she and her neighbors were overjoyed to see “a bunch” of utility trucks suddenly show up on their street Sunday evening.
“When all the trucks drove up, all of our neighbors who were outside were all cheering,” said Amalbert, who lives on the 100 block of Mason Park Drive in Daytona Beach. Amalbert and her entire neighborhood had been flooded by Hurricane Milton and had been without power since early Thursday morning…
