DECATUR, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Greg White’s retirement didn’t last long.
The Decatur parks director of over 30 years called it quits back in June but was called back to work in an area that was always more of a passion project than a full-fledged career: fighting homelessness.
“In this work, we feel we on seven days a week, 24 hours. We 365,” White said with a smile. “I would tell people from 9-6, I was parks and rec director, but from 6 p.m. to about 9 p.m., I became a social worker.”…
