A toddler is dead after being hit by a car in Channelview on Monday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The case is now being investigated as a hit-and-run.
Investigators with @HCSO_VCD are at the 16400 blk of Woodrow. A toddler (possibly 2 yrs) was struck by a vehicle. The driver remained on-scene. The toddler was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The toddler did have supervision. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/FHk69yViaC

Deputies say the crash happened at around 2:14 p.m. in the 16400 block of Woodrow Street.
