DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.. (WSFA) – Alabama State took a trip down to Daytona Beach on Saturday for a matchup on the gridiron against Bethune-Cookman University. After controlling the game early, the Hornets survived a late-game surge by the Wildcats to win 26-21.
The Hornets led early in this one. A Brandon Gilliam 49-yard field goal got the scoring going, and Ajai Harrell found the endzone from one yard out to make it 10-0.
