DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Ninety minutes was not enough time to separate the Embry-Riddle and Tampa women’s soccer teams as the Eagles (7-3-2, 3-1-2) and the Spartans (4-1-4, 0-1-3) played to a 1-1 tie, Saturday at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium.
The start of the game saw the teams hold possession in five-minute shifts. The Eagles controlled the possession in the first five minutes, but the next five belonged to the Spartans who recorded two shots during that brief stretch.
At the 31:19 mark, the Eagles won their fifth corner and was the case on two previous attempts, Hattie Kettle was the first to a Berglind Thrastardottir corner kick.
