The Sheltering Tree has announced new dates for its cold-weather shelter, which will include Saturday, January 11, Tuesday, January 14, and Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with no shelter availability on Sunday and Monday. The shelter will open at the Rock Transformation Center (formerly Church on the Rock) not only for those experiencing homelessness but for anyone who is without heat in Flagler County.
The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures to fall below 40 degrees during the overnight hours of these dates, which is the criteria for opening the cold-weather shelter.
