Democratic incumbent Sen. Nate Boulton has conceded his Iowa Senate race to Republican challenger Mike Pike after a recount concluded Friday, affirming Pike’s razor-thin victory.
The recount results confirm one of the upsets of the general election, which saw Pike, a plumber and first-time candidate, defeat Boulton, an attorney seeking his third term in the Iowa Senate.
