DES MOINES, Iowa — On Wednesday, the list of semifinalists for the 2025 James Beard Awards was released, with a Des Moines restaurant receiving a nod in the hospitality category.
Simon’s in Des Moines, which has been open snice 2005, made the list of semifinalists for the James Beard Hospitality Award, alongside just 19 other restaurants from across the nation.
According to the James Beard Foundation, the awards have been given for 35 years and are “among the nation’s most prestigious honors recognizing leaders in the culinary and food media industries, and those in the broader food systems.”…
