Two metro Detroit health systems — the Detroit Medical Center and Corewell Health — have issued visitor restrictions to limit the spread of flu and other respiratory scourges like respiratory syncytial virus, better known as RSV, as the number of infections rise in Michigan.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the level of flu activity in Michigan rose from low to high in late December.
