The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 3:32 p.m. Thursday to 1005 Triangle Lake Road after a tree fell on a child. The boy was a student at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in Northville. His class was visiting the center for an overnight field trip, Sheriff Mike Murphy told The Livingston Post.
Murphy told The Post chaperones were teaching students how to make a fire when they heard loud crackling. The group members took off running and the tree fell. The boy was taken by helicopter to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, where he died around 8 p.m…
