HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Federal and local authorities searched a storage unit in north Harris County late Monday night as part of a court-authorized operation, according to the FBI in Houston. They confirmed the search was related to the Bourbon Street attack by Houston-area resident Shamsud-Din Jabbar on New Year’s Day in New Orleans.
FBI Houston’s Special Agent Bomb Technicians and Evidence Response Team members found bottles of commercially available sulfuric acid inside a cooler. Sulfuric acid can be used to make explosives.
