Patriots offensive lineman claimed off waivers by AFC South team

The New England Patriots have made multiple changes to their offensive line this year and that continued on Tuesday when they released Zachary Thomas and signed guard Tyrese Robinson off of the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.

It’s unknown whether or not New England wanted to sneak Thomas back onto their practice squad after releasing him, but they won’t be able to, as the Houston Texans submitted a claim on him, according to Aaron Wilson.

Thomas, 26, originally joined the Patriots as a waiver claim after the Los Angeles Rams released him during roster cuts out of training camp. He appeared in eight games for New England this season, playing 84 offensive snaps and another 24 on special teams…
