NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A plan to permanently ban a state property tax in Tennessee will go before the state House and Senate and amend the state constitution.

Tennessee does not currently have state property taxes since it’s reserved for local government, but some supporters say they want to keep the government from raising taxes in the future.
