Cyclist dead in Level Plains from crash on Highway 84

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) – A wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Coffee County Road 709 claimed another life on Sunday night.

The victim, who was riding a bicycle, was struck by a truck and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Coffee County Coroner Arnold Woodham.

The is the tenth death at the intersection in the last 16 years, according to Level Plains Mayor Ronnie Thompson.
