Murder suspect had troubled history, court records reveal

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – According to court records, the man charged with shooting a woman to death in Dothan has a troubled history.

His wife—not the murder victim—accused Dustin Rigsbee in 2022 of slapping and choking her in front of the couple’s children, causing her to suffer bruises and other injuries.

While a judge soon finalized their divorce, Rigsbee and the woman remained at odds until this month, when they ended their long-running squabble.

On Friday, police charged Rigsbee, 31, with the murder of Harleigh Michelle Dills, who was also 31, at a Dothan home.
