Amazon subsidiary pledges $11 billion to build more data and AI infrastructure in metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Georgia already hosts more than 50 major data centers for global companies — and soon, more will be added to that list.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on Tuesday that it will invest $11 billion in Douglas and Butts counties to increase cloud and AI computing infrastructure. The expansion is expected to create at least 550 new jobs.
