“The Lunar Nodes are points of intersection as the word ‘node’ indicates ‘union’. The orbital paths of the moon and sun cross as the moon travels north or south of the ecliptic. The moon weaves back and forth across the ecliptic regularly, but every 18 months these astrological points begin a new cycle. They transit backwards in the horoscope, to the previous signs because they move according to the primary motion of the earth’s rotation (rather than the secondary motion which is the earth’s orbit around the sun),” said Sue Minahan, founder, and host of the weekly show. “These points represent our karma we have inherited through many lifetime experiences in the South Node, and the polar opposite in the evolutionary North Node of Destiny. Essentially, January 11 we enter consciousness asking us to heal our fragmented parts, and the world, to embrace its unity.”
