Recovery Centers of America at Bracebridge Hall launches addiction recovery program for active duty, veterans

EARLEVILLE — The Earleville branch of the Recovery Centers of America at Bracebridge Hall recently introduced a new program for active-duty military, veterans and first responders with substance use disorder. The program is called RESCU, short for Resilience, Empowerment, Safety, and Care for our Uniformed Heroes.

RESCU implements peer support with tailored approaches to help veterans and active-duty service members with addiction treatment through trauma-focused therapy.

“These are individuals who have given so much and their families have given so much to our country, and for us to be able to meet a need that has not been met in the local area is really important for us as an organization,” said Dr. Pete Vernig, Vice President of Mental Health Services at all of RCA’s locations…
