Dover, New Hampshire’s New Waterfront District Will Bring the City to Another Level

You may have heard the news recently that Chef Evan Hennessey is opening up a new restaurant in the upcoming Waterfront District here in Dover, New Hampshire, according to fosters.com.

That got me thinking about this project; How long has it been in the works? Where exactly will it be? What else is going into this project? I did some research and found this project is going to level up the Garrison City.

How long has the Waterfront District been in the works?

From what I can find, over 10 years. According to dover.nh.gov, the City and its residents started talking about this in September of 2014.

Where Exactly Will the Project Be?

Along the Cochecho River, behind Henry Law Park. There is a cool website that you can see the before and after of the entire project, waterfrontdistrictdover.com.

What Else is Going Into the Project?

According to waterfrontdistrictdover.com, the neighborhood with include a brand new city park, 26,000 square feet of commercial space, (think shopping, eating, etc.) and 418 residential units. (I just might relocate)
