Women’s Soccer Blasts Past Brandywine

Reading, Pa.- The Penn St. Berks Women’s Soccer Team took down Penn St. Brandywine, defeating the Lions by a score of 12-0 on Tuesday, Oct 22.

Berks (6-8-2 Overall, 5-1-1 UEC) got on the board first, striking in the ninth minute. Autumn Levengood rocketed a shot on goal that deflected off the goalkeeper and to the feet of Adriana Lepera. Lepera capitalized, smashing a shot into the back of the net. The Lions added on in the 24th minute. Ashley Jocham drove into the box, playing a ball to Levengood directly in front of the goal. Levengood lifted a shot over the keeper for a goal. Mary King got into the act, taking a pass from Faith Wavershak at the top of the box and hammering a shot into the upper corner of the goal. The Blue & White scored again in the 33rd minute. Wavershak laid a pass off to Lepera out the box and she scored a spectacular goal, driving the ball perfectly into the upper right-hand corner, making the score 4-0.

Paige Thomas kept the offensive onslaught going, dribbling down the right side and lacing a shot into the back of the net. The Lions added one more goal before the half, when Lauren LeKites headed in a corner kick from Lepera. Berks led 6-0 at the break…
