Greater Johnstown downs Westmont-Hilltop, wins second-straight game

WESTMONT, Pa. (WTAJ) – A week after winning its first game since 2019, Greater Johnstown stayed in the win column on Saturday by taking down Westmont-Hilltop 42-21. This is the first time that the Trojans have won back-to-back games since 2017.

Trojans break 43-game losing streak with win over Central Cambria

The Trojans were fueled on offense by Julius Reed, who was coming off of a seven-touchdown performance against Central Cambria. Reed finished the game against the Hilltoppers with close to 400 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

After allowing a touchdown on the opening drive of the game, Greater Johnstown’s defense was stout against Westmont-Hilltop’s run-heavy offense.

The Hilltoppers, who are still seeking their first win, host undefeated Penn Cambria next Friday night. Meanwhile, Greater Johnstown looks to keep its winning streak going against Bishop McCort-Carroll at Trojan Stadium…
