FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Temperatures will finally make their way above the freezing point. This is the first time in a week that Columbus has been that warm. By the afternoon there will be some decent peeks of sunshine, otherwise today will remain mostly cloudy.

Tonight is expected to remain mostly cloudy. Overnight lows will fall to the low-mid 20s with a wind chill in the teens. A weak cold front will move though overnight. No rain or snow is coming with this system, but it will bring a shift in the wind’s direction.

Sunday brings slightly cooler temperatures, but a few more breaks in the clouds will arrive by the afternoon. Highs will top off right around the freezing point of 32 degrees. Winds are expected to come from the west at 5-10 mph. A scattered snow flurry or two cannot be ruled out.

This week will finally have above normal highs. Central Ohio. Between Tuesday and Wednesday high temperatures are expected to reach the low 40s. Another frontal boundary moves through in the middle of the week that will cool down conditions a little bit, but things will warm up again by next weekend…
