Residents rush to stock up on groceries ahead of winter storm

NORCROSS, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Grocery store shelves throughout Metro Atlanta were left empty on Thursday night as residents scrambled to prepare for this weekend’s winter storm.

Long lines formed at a Kroger in Norcross, as people packed their carts with essential items. Maria Hounchell went shopping for bread and milk.

“It’s just common sense to be stocked,” she said. “Just in case, you just never know.”…
