November First Friday at the MAC

MacRostie Art Center (MAC) is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition that will be held during the First Friday Art Walk on Nov. 1. The Minnesota Gallery at the MAC will host Intersection: Reconnecting through Clay, an exhibition of pottery by Bob DeArmond, Karen Keenan, and Ray Shelerud. The reception will take place from 4-7 pm and is free and open to the public. This exhibition is sponsored by the MAC Board of Directors.

These potters became fascinated with clay while attending college in the 1970s, but spent decades working in other careers. Now in retirement, they have reconnected with each other and rediscovered their passion for clay as part of the Duluth Art Institute Clay Studio. They hope that the exhibition will motivate visitors to explore something in their lives that they once found rewarding, engaging, and meaningful—it’s never too late!…
