U of M Medical School Duluth Campus plans expansion, new facility

DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – The University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth Campus will become a four-year program instead of a two-year program starting Fall 2025.

Regional Campus Dean Kevin Diebel said the expansion will allow students to concentrate on their studies.

“A very specific thing we try to do here on this campus is to really try to address rural health and Native American health,” Diebel said. “For individuals that come into a program where they know that the whole focus from start to finish is going to be tailored around these mission components, I think it is very helpful for them to not necessarily have to move in the middle of the program.”…
