This week, Klubnik and the Tigers needed an extra play to score the contest’s first points. It was Klubnik again, but this time, with his legs for a 55-yard rushing score.
“I’ve been waiting to kind of split one for a while,” Klubnik said after the game. “But it was fun. I feel like using my legs — I feel like I’ve got a little speed to me. So, it was fun to finally use that one. I think my high school coach, Todd Dodge, is gonna be proud of that one.”
“He always says, ‘If you see that crease, go split it.’ So just kind of saw it, and man, Troy [Stellato] fitted it up great on the second level and it was wide-open. We just executed really well and all I had to do was just go hit it and take off. It was really fun.”…
