Texas placed 48th in overall safety, making it the third least safest state in America to live in.
Factors Impacting Texas’ Safety Ranking
Border Security and Immigration, Texas, as a border state, experiences a significant number of undocumented immigrants entering the state. Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star and other multi-agency efforts, including the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Border Patrol, have reported substantial law enforcement activity.
