FOLSOM, Calif. — Folsom selected its new city manager Tuesday.
Folsom City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Bryan Whitemyer, the current Oakdale city manager, at an open session meeting. The Brigham Young University and California State University, Stanislaus, alum plans to move with his family to Folsom and assume the role March 10, the city said.
“I applied for this position because I could envision making Folsom my home,” Whitemyer told ABC10 on Wednesday. “More importantly I applied for the position because I believe that I bring knowledge, skills and abilities that can help the Folsom community plan for the future and build on the strong foundation that was established by those who came before me.”…
