DEA warns of deadly ‘Pink Cocaine’ trend in L.A. drug scene

A dangerous new drug cocktail, dubbed ” Pink Cocaine, ” is making its way into the Los Angeles drug scene, alarming local authorities.

According to the DEA, ‘Pink Cocaine’ is a powdered mixture of substances, which is dyed pink, has a sweet smell, and typically produces mind-altering, hallucinogenic effects.

“There is no such thing as a test where you test a substance and say, yep, that’s ‘Pink Cocaine’ because it’s made up of just different things,” Matthew Allen, the DEA special agent in charge of the Los Angeles office, told KNX News’ Emily Valdez .

These dangerous combinations can include substances like ecstasy, ketamine, meth, or fentanyl, but without testing first, the combination is unknown. “It’s dangerous enough when you know what you’re getting,” Allen said. “It’s all the more dangerous when you don’t know what you’re getting. I just can’t imagine why anyone would want to experiment with something that they have no idea what it is.”…
