BE & BC set to battle Thursday in Shepherdsville

MOUNT WASHINGTON – After jumping on top of visiting Eastern High School 4-0 and leading 4-1 at halftime in a match on Saturday afternoon, the Bullitt East boys’ soccer team had to hold on down to stretch to beat the Eagles 4-3.

That match pretty much summed up the season to this point for Bullitt East under first-year head coach Will Elder. The Chargers will play quite well for stretches, but at other times they lose focus and drive. Sometimes, like on Saturday, both happen in the same game.

“That is a pretty good comment on our season,” Elder said after the win over Eastern. “Things have often gone our way for 75 minutes, but then for five minutes we don’t play well.”
