Some North State highways and roads were expected to flood for the second time in as many days, after a break in the rain gave floodwaters a chance to recede.
A storm that started late Wednesday night dropped heavy rain on Redding and the surrounding area after a dry period on Christmas Day. By Friday, a new storm was expected to bring another 1.5 to 3 inches of rain to Redding and Lake Shasta areas, the National Weather Service’s Sacramento branch reported.
