Man charged with striking pedestrian in Newark while fleeing from police

A man accused of striking a pedestrian on Main Street while fleeing from the police in October is now behind bars.

Roger Brown, 22, of Wilmington, was arrested in Wilmington on Dec. 7.

Brown was charged with second-degree vehicular assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, disregarding a police officer’s signal, leaving the scene of a crash and several traffic offenses. He was jailed after failing to post $67,800 cash bail…
