QUARRYVILLE, Pa. — As cases of the avian flu continue to spread, the federal government is calling on dairy farms to provide milk samples to test for the disease.
Under the new federal order, dairy farmers and those who handle raw milk for pasteurization must provide milk samples upon request to the USDA. The random sampling will be starting in California, Colorado, Michigan, Mississippi, Oregon, and Pennsylvania beginning December 16th.
