ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Union College spoiled Elmira College men’s soccer’s home matchup, with a big 2nd half.
Union College outlasted the Soaring Eagles in a hard fought 2-1 battle, on Tuesday. Elmira College played to a scoreless tie at the half, against the Chargers. EC keeper Asher Ellis fended off 7 shots (6 total saves) from Union, to keep points off of the board in the opening 45 minutes.
Both teams stormed out of the halftime break, finding the back of the net. Owen Everett netted the opening tally for the Chargers, just over a minute into the half. The Soaring Eagles would respond minutes later, as Ole Esselmann found the twine. With 13:23 to go in the contest, Wyatt Goldfisher scored the eventual game-winner at the top of the goal box, giving Union the 2-1 victory…
