“Hallows and Heroes is a two-day Halloween themed pop culture event,” said co-organizer Jared Aiosa. “It is going to include a whole lot of things, including a costume contest. We are going to have creators here. Not only comic book creators. That means authors, artists, colorists. We’re also going to have your traditional artists, authors, crafters. We’re going to have pop culture vendors. We’re going to have gaming vendors.”

Aiosa is also the owner of “ Heroes Comic Shop ” in Elmira Heights. He says tickets are $5 dollars and are good for both days. Anyone under 12 gets in free with a ticket purchase. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

“Do you like Army of Darkness? Do you lick Rick and Morty? Do you like Invader Zim? Guess what? The creators are here. You get to meet them in person,” Aiosa said.

“There are a lot of aspects about this event that I’m excited about. This gorgeous building that’s being used for the community. So yeah, sure, are nerds taking it over? That’s fine with me. So be it.”…
