BEREA, Ohio – The Berea City School District continues to exceed state academic standards, achieving a four-star rating overall again this year on the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Ohio School Report Card.
“The state report card is one measure of how school districts perform, and we have a variety of ways to internally measure our success,” BCSD Director of Academic Affairs Nick Discenza told the Board of Education at its Oct. 14 meeting.
“Going into a school building and attending events is one of the greatest ways to see what our school district is all about. The Portrait of a Titan competencies (i.e., empathetic, innovative, leader, adaptable, communicator, critical thinker) that we’re trying to develop in all of our students are far more than a test score.”…
