Rochester, N.Y. — New York Attorney General Letitia James and the Rochester Police Department hosted a community gun buyback event at the Church of Love Faith Center in Rochester on Saturday, where 548 guns were turned in, according to Attorney General James.
The event was part of Attorney General James’ ongoing effort to help protect New York communities from gun violence.
“Every one of the guns collected today is another potential life saved and tragedy averted,” said Attorney General James. I thank the Rochester Police Department and my partners in local and state government for working with my office to ensure this event was a success.
