As the congregation grew, Mercy Hill Church needed a new place to call its own, and with the purchase of the Antique Barn and Craft Mall on the grounds at Schrock’s Heritage Farm in Berlin, the church has found it.
Mercy Hill Church started in March 2014, having services at Walnut Creek Elementary School before moving to New Grounds Cafe for nearly two years. The congregation then moved to the theater the Conn family had in the old Flea Market, and moved into the Amish Country Theater when it was finished in 2018.
“We started the church 10 years ago,” said Erik Miller, teaching pastor. “We’ve been looking for our own place for the past year or two, but real estate is hard to come by in this area. This past June we had a conversation with Jo Ann (Hershberger who owns Schrock’s) and we worked things out.”…
