The biggest shock Massachusetts residents encounter this Halloween may not be a scare but rather the fact that they’ll be able to leave their sweaters behind.
National Weather Service forecasters are projecting highs north of 70 degrees on Wednesday and north of 80 degrees on Thursday. The typical high temperature for late October, they say, is in the high 50s.
Boston, Worcester and Springfield are looking at highs of 72, 73 and 75 degrees, respectively on Wednesday. And on Halloween, temperatures will soar another 10 degrees or so, with Boston and Springfield both expected to top 80 degrees…
