WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Local youth volunteers and law enforcement come together to assemble and distribute nearly 1,000 backpacks filled with essential items for homeless individuals.
Donations are needed and can be dropped off at the Pedal Thru Youth headquarters, located at 101 Front St. in West Springfield inside the historic former Strathmore Papermill, or Curry Honda, located at 767 Memorial Drive in Chicopee.
A heartwarming community initiative will take place on Saturday, February 1 at the Pedal Thru Youth headquarters, where the items will be distributed.
The Cruiser Care Packs initiative is spearheaded by Pedal Thru Youth, a nonprofit led by Bob “The Bike Man” Charland, in partnership with local 4-H, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts chapters.
