Rick Bragg, Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, journalist, and best-selling author, will present a keynote address in celebration of Wallace Community College-Dothan’s 75th Anniversary on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Bencze Theatre in Cherry Hall on the Wallace Campus in Dothan.
Admission to this event is free and will include a book signing by the author. Bragg’s work will also be available for purchase at the event.
As a native of Alabama, Bragg recognizes the importance of community colleges and the opportunities they provide for students and for the workforce. As an advocate for education and as a premier storyteller for our state, his keynote address will serve to highlight the tremendous work occurring in education and to celebrate 75 years of WCCD’s incredible contributions.
Bragg is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, journalist, and author of two bestselling memoirs, “All Over But the Shoutin’” and “Ava’s Man”.
