CLEVELAND (WJW) — Josh Naylor is paying tribute to Cleveland Guardians fans and the city after the team announced it was trading him last week .
On Dec. 21, the Guardians confirmed they were sending the first baseman to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for right-handed pitcher Slade Cecconi, who made his MLB debut in the 2023-2024 season, and “a competitive balance Round B draft pick,” the team said.
At the same time, the Guardians signed a one-year deal with Carlos Santana . It will be his third stint in Cleveland.
