Mentor Police are gearing up for their annual goodwill event, the eleventh Fill-a-Cruiser Food Drive. Slated for Sunday, November 10, the effort will see officers collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM—the familiar confines of the Giant Eagle supermarket at 8383 Tyler Boulevard.

According to the City of Mentor’s official website, this community engagement has a hearty history of aiding families within the City through food pantry distributions. Citizens have consistently pooled together their resources in a concerted effort to literally fill police cruisers with food donations, an initiative that has packed 24 vehicles over the past decade.
