Seahawks Ken Walker active in spite of questionable designation

It’s Week 7 and the Seattle Seahawks are on the road looking to end a three-game losing streak by upending the Atlanta Falcons.

Kirk Cousins looks to keep the Falcons offense hot, with Atlanta having scored 100 points in their last three games. On the other side of the field Geno Smith will hope to continue his historic high level of performance when playing in domes, though the roof of Mercedes Benz Stadium is likely to be open when the two teams take the field. The roof was open Saturday afternoon when Notre Dame took on Georgia Tech, and with the temperature predicted to be 71 degrees at kickoff with no chance of precipitation, there seems little reason to close the roof.

Regardless of whether the roof is open or closed, the Seahawks will be contending with a depleted secondary and yet another starter at right tackle. The Hawks announced on Friday that both Riq Woolen and Tre Brown would miss the game, while Michael Jerrell will see his first regular season offensive snaps starting at right tackle in place of Stone Forsythe. With Forsythe inactive, it appears Jalen Sundell is the swing tackle for the day…
