Physicians advise on safe snow shoveling techniques and preventable injuries

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — All the snow we’ve had in the past 48 hours means a lot of shoveling. Something we usually don’t have to do a lot in the Miami Valley.

Dayton 24/7 Now’s Jeff Schrock sat down with an ER physician from Miami Valley Hospital and talked about the most common injuries from shoveling and how to prevent them.

Shoveling snow is a time consuming task, and it can also lead to increased risk of weather related injuries or heart attacks.
